The picturesque town of Windsor sits on the River Thames and is a quintessentially English town with its cobbled streets and quaint tea rooms. Its long history goes back to Norman times, and you’ll see buildings from the 17th century, the scenic riverside area, the shortest street in Britain, a crooked house, a former London Underground station, and one of the most famous schools in the country. Windsor Castle is the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world, and an official residence of The Queen, and used regularly to host state visits and formal ceremonies. Towering above the town on a steep chalk mound, the castle is set in 5000 acres of parkland and captures over 900 years of British history. We’ll explore the grandeur of the State Apartment to discover paintings and treasures from the Royal Collection, visit the resting place of past monarchs in the spectacular St George’s Chapel and see Queen Mary’s famous doll’s house, the Grand Reception Room, and St George’s Hall. We’ll also see the ceremonial Changing of the Guard – a British tradition and perfect photo opportunity.

– Watch the Changing the Guard ceremony outside Windsor Castle. – Guided walking tour of Windsor and Eton, including a walk along the riverside. – Explore Royal Windsor, home of Queen Elizabeth II. – Visit Eton and see Eton College where Prince William and Prince Harry were educated. – Visit Windsor Castle including The State Apartments and St George’s Chapel. – Free time to explore the town, try some local foods, visit museums, buy souvenirs. – Take a stroll up The Long Walk up to the Copper Horse statue of George III, and take in the magnificent views of Windsor Castle and the surrounding areas.
